中央研究院作為中華民國最高學術研究機關，長期製作並更新中英文簡介，促進國內外學術交流，並增進各界對中研院的了解。

此次設計改良不僅體現綠色設計主張，更提升了簡介的實用性與永續價值。

PROBLEM

過去的簡介分為中、英文兩冊，採用制式膠裝紙本設計，內容固定，無法因資訊更新而靈活調整。

新版簡介內容重新梳理，聚焦必要資訊，減少至少20頁用紙，轉為新增筆記頁提升功能性，讓其在閱讀後不易被丟棄。此外，簡介尺寸縮小，更便於攜帶與使用。

我們融入綠色設計理念，同時提倡環保，追求可持續的生活方式。

整體墨水用量大幅減少，並設定能應需求抽換更新的可持續性設計，新版資訊分為「本院簡介」與「研究成果」兩冊，以可旋轉抽換的鉚釘裝訂。「本院簡介」內容穩定，可長期使用；「研究成果」則根據更新需求靈活替換，大幅延長簡介的使用壽命。
